Being a big fan of ABC's Lost, we made a fake viral-marketing site designed to look like Hurley's winning lottey game, MegaLottoJackpot.com. We got a flood of hits, mainly because we buried tons of faux easter egg "clues" for people to find. We were featured in a news report on CNet about ABC's clever viral marketing. They since printed a retraction for including my site with the official ABC produced sites.
