Video games these days have a variety of action. While most games involve some sort of violence toward an enemy character, none of them provide the objective of your character to eat brains. Enter the game Stubbs the Zombie.
Stubbs the Zombie is a third person perspective game that utilizes the HALO engine to eat brains. After all what else does a zombie really do? While playing the game I found that even though I controlled Stubbs to eat hundreds of brains it never got boring. In fact it was very hilarious and in the end I wanted more.
Playing The Game
The game begins in a 1950's retro-futuristic city of the future. A robot assistant (tour guide) takes you through the basic workings of the game eating the brains of cops and civilians walking around.
My biggest complaint of the game is the game play. I found Stubbs movement to slow for my taste. Yes, I know he is dead and zombies don't move very fast.
As you eat brains of civilians you start to build a zombie armada. Your army will help you eat the city civilians. You are able to control your army but they aren't always that reliable. Shoving the zombies helps keep them in line and can be used as a shield.
You start the game with no zombie powers. As you progress through the game you earn special movies such as gaseous blast and the ability to throw your explosive pancreas.
I played the game on my Macintosh platform. I found the requirements for the game on a PC / Mac to be very high so be sure that you have at least the miniumum requirements to play the game.
Overall
Stubbs the Zombie has one accomplishment that many games can't achieve, it's funny. The humor of the trailer was what made me check the game out.
I was a bit disappointed with the controls of Stubbs and found the game short. However, the game is different from other video games out there recommending you to check it out.
