2016 Toy Fair Report – Diamond Select Toys

So many wonders to behold at the DST booth this year. My favorite is the opening Shakespeare bust from stately Wayne Manner. It even functions as a bank, to help you on your path to becoming a millionaire playboy. Once you pick this up, check out our plans to build your own batphone. Retailing at under $200, you’ll get your every Penny’s worth. Ok, I’m sorry.

Lots of cool new Back to the Future mini-mates are headed your way this year. Check out our gallery for pics of the 1950’s Western Marty, 1980’s track-suit Biff, 1950’s peeping tom George, and more. But we really liked these much larger, and slightly animated Vinimates. This Doc and Marty look fantastic, but also check out the X-Files, Aliens, Ghostbusters, and Predator ones as well. These are 4″ high, made of vinyl, and should cost you about $10 a pop.

Don’t stop there, keep reading and check out our gallery below.

One of my big favorites from the show was the Wrath of Khan Khan complete with USS Reliant captain’s chair. We can’t wait for this one.

These Ghostbusters figures are in stores right now, and each comes with a piece of this fantastic diorama. Collect all 15 to complete the rooftop at Spook Central. I hadn’t seen it all complete up until now. And, to top it off, we visited the booth on February 14, 2016, the date predicted to be the end of the world in Ghostbusters II. Luckily crisis was averted and we lived to bring you this coverage.

The Batman: The Animated Series maquettes looked spot on. I loved this Man Bat. Check out the gallery for more favorites from the show, including Catwoman, Poison Ivy, and Two-Face.

But there wasn’t just DC at Diamond, there was a healthy Marvel display as well. I really thought we’d see more Dead Pool at Toy Fair this year, but it was limited. This was one of the finer statues we spied. I haven’t seen the movie yet because I was covering the ‘Fair. I need to up my game.

The APC from Aliens is precisely what I’ve been waiting for! It’s even more incredible that several figures can fit inside. The closed version would look great on your shelf, but pull it down, open it up, and storm the colony. This set comes with Lt. Gorman, will be about $30 and comes out next winter.

Tons more stuff to check out in my gallery below, including Muppets, Star Trek, NBX, Gotham, and more! And swing by for more products and availability.
