Tate joined MPB in its first year, composing a compendium of Back to the Future collectibles for his initial piece. Outside of MPB, he is working on his Ph.D. in English, so he spends most of his time with Aristotle, Hemingway, and Kenneth Burke; however, he still manages to spend a considerable amount of time watching Star Trek and Doctor Who, reading comics and detective stories, and mapping out time travel theories portrayed in time travel movies.
