I checked out the dubstep show Feed Me with Teeth in DC last night at the 9:30 Club. The music was popping, the people were shaking, and everything was electric. The mostly high school/young college crowd was “on” (likely hopped up on Easter candy) and the entire time as the beats just kept coming. While I enjoy watching a DJ at work (like Fatboy Slim a few weeks ago) this had an amazing stage piece, a massive video display in the shape of grinning teeth. Light patterns and video undulated like the chicks wearing raver gear and skimpy shorts. If Pixy Stix made eye drops, this is what you’d see. Check out the Feed Me tour website to see when they’re coming to your city. Here are a few more pics from last night.
Here is a crafty compilation of all of the window gags from the 1966 Batman series. Holy terrible puns Batman! We so love this gag at MillionairePlayboy, I recreated it for one of our infamous BBQs. Here are some pics.
Tomorrow The Muppets is available on DVD/Blu-Ray. If you missed it in theaters, now is the time to get things started. Click here to buy the The Muppets (Wocka Wocka value pack).
While the last few Muppet installments to hit theaters felt like kids movies that had adult appeal, this movie is clearly aimed to the adults that grew up with the Muppets, but it’s great fun for younger kids. My four year old loves the original Muppet Movie and Fraggle Rock, and he was right there with me watching The Muppets with glee. Click below to see my whole review.
Last night I witnessed some amazing rock at the Experience Hendrix Tour. Some of the most legendary guitar players in history assembled to pay tribute to Hendrix and lay down some epic tunes. Click below for the pics and write-up.
The Muppets is available March 20th! The Wocka Wocka Value Pack, contains the movie on Blu-ray high-definition, DVD and Digital Copy (3 discs) plus a download card for the film’s soundtrack from Walt Disney Records!
This past weekend my old college roommate and I took our six and four year old sons to the Monster Jam at the Verizon Center in Washington DC. We got there early to hit the Pit Party to meet all the drivers and pose with the trucks. Check out all of our sweet pics below, and see why this is an awesome event to take your kid to. …continue reading Monster Jam! (Washington DC)
Last Friday the 13th and trucked up to Baltimore to check out the Nuclear Cowboyz. This spectacle pits the competing Soldiers of Havoc (blue uniforms) and the Metal Mulisha (black and gold) vs the invading Cyborg Army led by the evil Tempest. Will the Nuclear Cowboyz come together and defeat the Cyborg Army, saving mankind? Check out my pics below for all the high-flying stunts and pyrotechnics. …continue reading Nuclear Cowboyz!!
