The Steel City Con (a.k.a The Pittsburgh Toy Show) starts Friday through Sunday. The show is mostly made up of toy vendors selling a variety of action figures, trains, comics, and some very rare items. I will be attending the show, and covering it for the site on Saturday. The final Harry Potter film hits theaters today, and I have a lot of expectations for this film! Over the years writers and directors have taken liberty with the source material, some good, and some bad. I understand the need to tweak certain scenes to adapt them to film. I also have some high expectations of things that can’t be screwed up. Key scenes, moments, and character development will be very important in this film. It is the last one! It’s pretty much a guarantee licensed movie to videogame translations are awful. Gaming companies are often forced to adapt to a story that may or may not work as a game. Players will stay away from a game until they see the film, so they won’t be spoiled. But don’t be afraid of being spoiled by this game. Transformers: Dark of the Moon is the “official” prequel to the movie. The story leads up to the events right before the film. This is one reason why I think the game works.
