The Steel City Con (a.k.a The Pittsburgh Toy Show) starts Friday through Sunday. The show is mostly made up of toy vendors selling a variety of action figures, trains, comics, and some very rare items. I will be attending the show, and covering it for the site on Saturday. The final Harry Potter film hits theaters today, and I have a lot of expectations for this film! Over the years writers and directors have taken liberty with the source material, some good, and some bad. I understand the need to tweak certain scenes to adapt them to film. I also have some high expectations of things that can’t be screwed up. Key scenes, moments, and character development will be very important in this film. It’s pretty much a guarantee licensed movie to videogame translations are awful. Gaming companies are often forced to adapt to a story that may or may not work as a game. Players will stay away from a game until they see the film, so they won’t be spoiled. But don’t be afraid of being spoiled by this game. Transformers: Dark of the Moon is the “official” prequel to the movie. The story leads up to the events right before the film. This is one reason why I think the game works.
