Fitz & the Tantrums with Big Data at 9:30 Club

Michael and Noelle of Fitz and the Tantrums

Fitz and the Tantrums, known for their stuck-in-your-head hits such as The Walker and Out of My League, played at 9:30 Club in Washington DC last weekend. Fresh off their show in Portland, they had the nation’s capital hopping and swaying throughout the set, including their cover of Sweet Dreams, click below for more pics, including opener Big Data.

Alan Wilkis of Big Data

Big Data‘s big hit Dangerous has a poppy synthy catch to it. I love how lead Alan Wilkis beat on his electronic drum kit like a wind-up robot. His iconic bearded face adorned banners and masks in the audience. They did a cover of Hall & Oates’ Private Eyes. Alan has a sound and he’s getting ready to stake his claim on your playlist. I bet you didn’t know he was dangerous.

Then Fitz and the Tantrums took the stage and owned it. They distributed electronic bracelets that lit up when you move and the audience sparkled the entire night. Swing by to see the next time you can see them. It’s an amazing show.
