Led Zeppelin cover band Get the Led Out played in Baltimore the other night. At first I was reluctant to shoot a coverband, but I do indeed love the Zep, and at the risk of sounding cliche’d, hearing Kasimir played live on stage in front of hundreds of screaming fans is an experience everyone should partake in at least once before they die. Get the Led Out is a Zeppelin tribute band that tours the east coast primarily. Though they have six people up on stage, their main goal is to replicate the studio sound of Led Zeppelin, not be a straight-up impersonating act. I went in with moderate expectations, but their love for the material, and the excitement of the crowd put me in a mood to rock pretty quickly. This was a nearly sold out show at Ram’s Head, not the basement of some greasy bar that your buddies were playing in. It was definitely a full on rock-out concert experience.
