Nightmare on Elm Street Teaser Trailer

nightmare-on-elm-street-remake

I’m not sure about this horror re-make. I enjoyed Rob Zombie’s Halloween interpretation. The Friday the 13th movie sucked balls. Remaking the Nightmare movies though are very different. It requires acting! Anybody could play Jason or Michael. Playing Freddy Krueger requires speaking. I think it will be very hard to live up to Robert Englund. After watching the teaser, I am puzzled as to why this remake was necessary. It seem they included everything from the original film. The girls jumping rope, the claw coming out of the bathtub, and even the house. What was good about Rob Zombie’s Halloween and The Texas Chainsaw Massacre remakes were that they added something more to  the story. The Michael Bay producing credit doesn’t help. Trailer after the jump.

I don’t know….I personally am sick of the remakes, i mean it’s great for a new generation to get into these movies but why not have movie night and watch the originals?! I think Hollywood has run out of ideas or at least out of nerve to go after a new idea. Everything has to be a sure bet for them to release it. If it won’t make money it won’t be shown. However Halloween was a commerical bomb the first time around wasn’t it ?! I mean the original not Rob Zombie’s first horrible Halloween movie. I HATED the first RZ Halloween and only saw the second one cause it was the last he was going to do. He redeemed himself but i hope he spread the word on why his 1st was so bad. If you are going to do it do it 100% don’t half arse it you know.

Oh I agree with you. Remakes are not needed.

I was super psyched about this then I saw “Produced by Micheal Bay”. I really hope this doesn’t suck. From the looks of the makeup they’re playing up the burn victim thing, which could be cool, but it looked like it takes some of the character out of his face.
