LEGO builder Brandon Griffith created a Star Wars chess set based on Episode IV – A New Hope. The board and pieces use nothing but LEGO bricks.
If you look closely you will see that he created the chess pieces from scenes in the film. The eight pawns are made up of rebel soldiers and Stormtroopers. The moisture vaporators are the rooks on the Rebellion side while other scenes from Tatooine are the rooks on the Imperial side. Of course Darth Vader is the King (with Tarkin as his queen!) and the infamous pose of Luke and Leia is the King on the other side.
