This weekend the cast of the Avengers film was together on stage at Comic Con. Joss Whedon will be directing and I can’t wait to see his take on one of my favorite comic books! Jackson (Nick Fury); Jeremy Renner (Hawkeye); Mark Ruffalo (The Hulk); Joss Whedon; and Marvel Studios’ President Kevin Feige.
In anticipation of Marvel’s Saturday Comic-Con panel, Marvel released this awesome “poster” / banner of Captain America fighting during the war. If the movie is half as cool as this poster I’m excited!
Wow, I have never actually watched the early ’90s Captain America film. Was it ever in theaters? I only see people sell it at comic book conventions with copies of The Phantom Menace with no Jar Jar.
Wow big surprise here. Captain America is coming back to life. Two years ago, Marvel killed off the patriotic superhero. Now writer Ed Brubaker and artist Bryan Hitch are bringing Steve Rogers back to life. Bucky Barnes has been the current Captain America for the past few years. Bringing back Rogers has nothing to do with the fact that a Captain America film is in the works. No that can’t be. You can read more about it at Marvel.com

Older comic book covers embraced the use of absurd and goofy scenarios to sell books.
