The TV show theme song was a standard on all ’80s sitcoms. The warm sentimental theme would often talk about how nothing else is more important than love and family.  These days the sitcom theme has evolved to keeping it simple. The sappy lyrics of staying together have been replaced by simple musical pieces or in the case of LOST a simple sound effect. I miss the storytelling nostalgic themes. As I wonder what ever happend to predictability, the milk man, the paper boy, or evening T.V. I put together the Essential Seven ’80s Theme Songs.

This past weekend I attended the Steel City Con (aka Pittsburgh Toy Show). My toy budget has been tight lately, so I thought I would conduct an experiment. With only seven dollars in my pocket, I was curious what kind of toys I could buy for a dollar each. I was shocked at some of the deals that I was able to get for a dollar.
