Hagrid’s Hut

Universal Studios is releasing more photos from the The Wizarding World of Harry Potter.

HAGRID’S HUT – An authentic replica from the Harry Potter films, guests will pass by Hagrid’s hut on their way to the Flight of the Hippogriff family-friendly roller coaster. Just before they board, Hagrid instructs guests on how to properly approach and fly on a Hippogriff. Hagrid’s hut will be seen as part of a feature about The Wizarding World of Harry Potter on NBC’s The Celebrity Apprentice this Sunday, April 4. The Wizarding World of Harry Potter grand opens on June 18.

Harry Potter 4U has some great shots behind the scenes of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, and a great description of the scene where Harry and Hagrid flee on Sirius Black’s motorcycle:

‘In the wee early hours of Thursday morning a loud rumbling could be heard in the Kent area of England. At a glance this might have been just a typical motorcycle amidst the rest of the traffic, but if the noise of the engine didnt give it away, the sight of the Giant riding the bike and his spectacled passenger in a sidecar almost certainly would have done – Harry Potter and Hagrid were in town!’

Essential Seven Good Harry Potter Film Differences From the Books

Harry Potter Book vs. Film

The biggest complaint that most Harry Potter fans have with the Harry Potter films is how they reduce scenes, concepts, and characters for a smoother transition from page to screen. The early Chris Columbus Potter films included “everything but the kitchen sink” creating a more faithful approach to the books. Starting with Alfonso Cuarón’s Prisoner of Azkaban, the films took on a more stylized approach. What ever approach you prefer, every Potter fan has complained about a scene from the book or character did not make the film.

I’m all for the stylized approach in certain circumstances. The later films work better because they are streamlined. Chris Columbus’s films had a tendency to drag when they didn’t focus on the main story. Fans of the more faithful film adaptions should be happy that a few parts of the books were never included.  Here is a list of the Essential Seven GOOD Harry Potter Film Differences From the Books
