They Might Be Giants came by Ram’s Head Live in Baltimore on Saturday night. Promoting their new album Nanobots. They kicked off with Your Head is on Fire from that album and got Nanobots in near the end, but the majority of their set list contained crowd favorites and everyone was singing along.

Alexander Clare played to a packed 9:30 Club last night. I have to admit, I was introduced to Alex via his hit Too Close‘s inclusion in the Microsoft IE commercial, but I fell in love with his album The Lateness of the Hour with one listen. Alex’s strength is in his mastery of his own voice. The man has pipes and he knows how to belt out soulful songs without resorting to just endless screaming. Click below for more.

Nada Surf wraps their US Tour

Whip my hair back and forth
Alt rockers Nada Surf have been touring the U.S. promoting their 2012 album The Stars Are Indifferent to Astronomy, and they came to their last stop at DC’s 9:30 Club last night. Kicking off with new tunes, yet satiating the audience with fan favorites like Always Love and Happy Kid. It’s clear they still have the alt-rock chops that made a name for themselves in the 90s.
