Aint It Cool News has the first two reader reviews of G.I. JOE – Rise of Cobra. I think the reviews are being kind. This film has got to be the biggest cluster-fuck. The best part is the statement that the film is “More Enjoyable Than TRANSFORMERS 2.” Well duh… That can’t be too hard to do. BEWARE OF SPOILERS (if you care)
This is pretty sweet. This film took first place at the Botcon 2009 Film Festival. Directed by Randall Ng, featuring the voice DR. SMOOV. Thanks to Jerry for the link!
Topless Robot has a great two page FAQ about the new Transformers 2. Check it out. They provide an outline as to why the new Transformers movie makes no sense. Bravo!! Of course with this post I get to use my favorite tag Michael Bay Makes Bad Movies!
As much as I proclaimed that I wasn’t going to see Transformers 2, I watched it. I won’t go into the details, but I didn’t contribute a dime to the box office. That somehow justifies me seeing it. However, I still lost 2 1/2 hours of my life that Michael Bay stole from me!
I will keep this review short and to the point. Transformers 2 is awful. In fact, it makes the first film a better movie! Transformers 2 is full of over the top action, Megan Fox wardrobe changes, dog humping, embarrassing Jon Turturro acting, Decepticon balls, stoned mothers, insensitive stereotype voices, and overall, a big chaotic mess. Michael Bay has managed to top himself by creating an even worst Transformers film. Congrats!
Posting reviews are useless since even bad reviews have not stopped the fan boys from seeing Revenge of the Fallen. So go see it. Support Michael Bay. Don’t come complaining when the third film hits theaters!
Thank the Lord for Shout Factory! We now have the best Transformers Animated Series DVD. After Rhino screwed up their release, Shout Factory acquired the rights and restored the episodes to the original broadcast versions. Shout also gave the show a new stereo soundtrack created from the original audio!
A few weeks ago we sawa clip from Transformers 2: Revenge of the Fallen, where Sam tells Bumblebee that he can’t go to college with him. Now we get a glimpse of another scene with the “Jar Jar Binks” of Transformers. Check out Megan Fox battle is out with this Transformer with the Italian Mobster Attitute!
On Friday, May 29, select Toys“R”Us stores will give TRANSFORMERS fans “more than meets the eye” by offering them the first chance to purchase toys based on one of the most highly anticipated movies of the summer – TRANSFORMERS: REVENGE OF THE FALLEN. During a special sneak preview from 9 – 10 pm, customers can “roll out” to select Toys“R”Us stores to get a first look at the newest additions to the TRANSFORMERS universe, including:
TRANSFORMERS: REVENGE OF THE FALLEN VOICE MIXER HELMET from Hasbro In 2007, BUMBLEBEE was a scene-stealer in the first TRANSFORMERS film and an instant favorite among kids and long-time TRANSFORMERS fans. Now, kids can pretend to be the fun-loving AUTOBOT with this role-play helmet, which allows wearers to mix their voice through a “radio” — just like BUMBLEBEE — and also features realistic robot battle sounds and radio tune-in phrases. Ages 5 and up; 3 “AA” batteries required (included)
Stan Bush has remade The Touch from the original (and superior) animated Transformers film. The song has been renamed The Touch: Sam’s Theme. I still prefer the original, but this is probably the first positive news about Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen!
Just because I love it, here is the original Stan Bush video for The Touch.
