I was very excited to see Playmobil’s African Theme at Toy Fair this past February, as you may know, I recently won a trip to South Africa, and took tons of pics and video. I won the video contest by running away from playmobil animals via green screen. So to see playmobil re-addressing their African line was pretty thrilling. The centerpiece of this revamped theme is the African Watering Hole, comprised of several sets that fit together. Check out all of my pics and review below. …continue reading Playmobil Africa Playsets
We recently got our hands on the playmobil travel dungeon. This handy playset doubles as a carry case, so it’s perfect for taking along on the go, and it keeps all the pieces together. Check out my pics and handy review below. …continue reading Playmobil Travel Dungeon 4776
We heard about Playmobil’s plan to release an interactive DVD at last year’s Toy Fair and couldn’t wait to check it out. Now that we have it in our hands and have watched it a few times (even with kids, to boot) we’re ready to tell you what we think. Check out review below. …continue reading Playmobil’s Interactive DVD
We can garner a sneak peak at what playmobil will offer next year by checking out the German web site.
I can’t tell you when these are coming out (sometime in 2011 USA) or what all the action features are, but holy smokes, this is going to be amazing. I’m a fan of Bond, and Jason Bourne, so this type of thing is right up my alley.
I just got back from the 2010 Toy Fair in New York City… and I saw lots of cool stuff. As I’m hashing up these videos, playing with the swag I picked up, and trying to add written descriptions of what I saw… let me take a break from that and give you the Essential Seven Cool Things I Saw at the 2010 Toy Fair.

This is for real. DC101 had a contest to win an African Safari. All you had to do was make a two minute video explaining why you should be chosen, and I was picked! (was it because I used playmobil?)
Here is my video entry that won! (there was one other winner)
I’ll show you some pics and video when I get back, I leave in a few short days!
It’s Halloween time, so we’re going to look at seven of the creepiest, scariest, weirdest action figures we’ve ever come across. And there are plenty of figures and collectibles that take the obvious route with lots of gore and horrifying faces. These are some of the non-obvious choices, that still give us the heebie jeebies. …continue reading Seven Essential Creepy Action Figures
I was recently vacationing at Bethany Beach, (near Ocean City Maryland). On the way into town we passed this vintage toy store and I had to check it out. WOW, talk about a toygasm of vintage goodies cheap. Ninja Turtles, Star Trek, Star Wars, GI Joe, He-Man, Transformers, Playmobil, Thomas the Tank Engine and a whole room for boardgames. Check out my video tour.
Heading east this summer? Vist Yesterday’s Fun, 117 Atlantic Ave near Bethany Beach Delaware.
