One of the most brilliant television comedies of all time was the BBC show The Young Ones. I first became aware of Rik, Vyvyan, Neil, and Mike in the early ’80s when the show was shown on MTV. The show played at 11:30 PM on Saturday nights before Headbangers Ball. This was when MTV was great. Sadly, the BBC only produced twelve episodes of the series.
