Mezco Toyz thrilled fans of ThunderCats this year at the world famous New York International Toy Fair this year when they announced they would be making the first ever Mega Scale Lion-O ThunderCats action figure.
This mega-scale figure measures over 20 inches tall from the tip of his upraised, extended sword to the soles of his Thunderian boots.
Featuring 7 points of articulation this mega figure is superbly detailed, perfectly capturing not only the iconic look of Lion-O as he appeared in the classic television series, but the essence, of Lion-O as he proudly raises the mystic Sword of Omens towards the heavens and roars out “Thundercats, Ho!” He comes complete with his impressive Claw Shield and a removable mystic Sword Of Omens.
Check out the regular edition Lion-O resin mini statue due out late August from Icon Heroes! This version differs from the SDCC version in that it has the extended Sword of Omens along with a forest environment base.
The Onion published a funny article announcing that Michael Bay signed a $50 million deal to “monumentally fuck up” a ThunderCatsmovie. The sad part is that, this could well happen one day, and we all know that Michael Bay would fuck it up! In article the Onion quotes Bay as saying “I couldn’t be more excited to completely fuck this up.” I love this story. Not only because they poke fun at Michael Bay, but because I get to use my favorite tag “Michael Bay Makes Bad Movies.” Here is an excerpt from the article:
LOS ANGELES—In the largest deal ever made to shit out a movie, Warner Bros. and director Michael Bay announced a landmark $50 million agreement this week to monumentally fuck up ThunderCats.
“I couldn’t be more excited to completely fuck this up,” said Bay, who plans to begin production on destroying the live-action adaptation next month. “ThunderCats has a great story, endearing characters, action, adventure, space-travel, and fantasy. It will be an honor to run it into the ground.”
WormyTV made this awesome Thundercats movie trailer. It took a year and a half to create this fan made trailer for a live-action Thundercats movie. The traile uses clips from a variety of movies. The Cats themselves are portrayed by Brad Pitt, Hugh Jackman and Vin Diesel. Now this is dedication!
