It’s pretty much a guarantee licensed movie to videogame translations are awful. Gaming companies are often forced to adapt to a story that may or may not work as a game. Players will stay away from a game until they see the film, so they won’t be spoiled. But don’t be afraid of being spoiled by this game. Transformers: Dark of the Moon is the “official” prequel to the movie. The story leads up to the events right before the film. This is one reason why I think the game works.
Transformers was a revolutionary toyline. Not only did we get a robot, but the robot transformed into a variety of cars, planes, and even a gun! For the most part, the entire generation 1 line was fairly well done. However, once in a while I was disappointed with a Transformer. I’m not talking about the the Transformer as a character. If it was, Wheelie would be number one (Man did he suck!). The character, and their role obviously play a role, but there are a few other factors. When you look at the play value, and comparing them to the cartoon they were based on, I came up with the Essential Seven Worst Transformers G1 Toys:

We knew Transformers 3 was filming in DC, so today I made it my mission to see Optimus Prime and get a picture with him before they left town. DCist.com posted a schedule of street closings for filming, but since the accident between Bumblebee and a DC cop, all bets were off and the schedule had been re-arranged.
