Essential Seven Worst Sci-fi Movie Deaths

Science Fiction fans are very passionate about the genre. A beloved characters death can turn away hardcore fans if its not done right. If the writers and directors craft a good story then a death of a character will be accepted by fans. However, movie studios are greedy. Sci-fi films are rushed through production to gain a quick profit. They ignore the storytelling throwing money towards big effects to help sell the film to the general audience. Big budget effects movie usually have a nice return, but limit the possibility of future sequels by ignoring the core audience who support it. Next week we will look at the good Sci-fi movie deaths. This week we look at the bad, the Essential Seven Worst Sci-fi Movie Deaths:

Total Toy Zone 1: Transformers (special edition)

I posted the original video back in February. Back then, I was able to get the original digital file onto VHS, but had no reliable means to get VHS back into my computer, so I just focused the camera on my big screen TV. Anyway, I now have a VHS-PC connector, and I just used it on this. It’s much cleaner, and you should be able to see the transformers better. I’m working on “unearthing” additional episodes. Enjoy!

And the New Autobot is……

the Ferrari 458 Italia. Yes, in Transformers 3 a new autobot was announced by Michael Bay. Of course this is the way to create a character the “Bay Way.” Find a car company that will pay for you to use your car and come up with a Transformer that will transform into it. No word on if the character will have a racist stereotype.

Essential Seven Future iPad Functions

Steve Jobs introduced the new Apple iPad this week. The device has seven key functions: browsing, email, photos, video, music, games, and eBooks. Sure the iPad is missing a camera, USB ports, and Flash support, but we think there are more important functions the iPad is missing. We put our geek heads together and came up with the Essential Seven future functions the iPad should have.

War for Cybertron Bumblebee

The Transformers Club posted the cover of their new magazine and it features the new Hasbro War for Cybertron Bumblebee. I love the look of the design. It’s been a while since we have had good Transformer news:

Featured on the cover is a first look at the all-new War for Cybertron Bumblebee figure, which will be released at retail later this year. To kick off Year 6 of the Transformers Collectors’ Club, we will be offering some new features in the Magazine. In addition to this months figure sneak peak and the Activision Q&A, over the next three issues: Jim Sorenson will be giving fans an inside look at “2010″, the Japanese version of Season 3 of the original Transformers cartoon which debuted in 1986. Also this issue, we start a new series of BotCon articles, interviews with some fan favorite voice actors, G1 inspired character profiles as well launching our next story arc which will follow Dion and the rest of his Elite Guard crew.

Be sure to stay tuned as this is just a sample of what we have planned for the year.

Transformers: War for Cybertron

Transformers: War for Cybertron features two distinct storylines: the AUTOBOT campaign tells a story of heroism to save their home planet against overwhelming odds, and the DECEPTICON campaign tells a story of an unquenchable thirst for power to control the universe. For the first time in a TRANSFORMERS title, fans will be able to play the game with their friends through team-based online co-op, or go head to head in a variety of intense, online multiplayer game modes. The game features a sci-fi art style that introduces to fans the entire living, metallic world of CYBERTRON, as well as all-new visualizations of the iconic TRANSFORMERS characters in their original Cybertronian forms.

Maybe the guys at Activision should make Transformers 3. This is far more exciting then any of the Michael Bay films. Plus, no moms high on pot or horny dogs anywhere to be seen!
