Sideshow Toys sent us a collection of 12-inch figures check them out:

GoldenEye—Pierce Brosnan as James Bond
GoldenEye was Pierce Brosnan's first film portraying 007 James Bond. The film was huge success for the franchise and a welcomed portrayal of James Bond after the utter failure of Timothy Dalton.

The plot of the film revolved around Bond's former compatriot (006) who has targeted London with an electromagnetic pulse from the space weapon "GoldenEye" that will render all electrical devices in operable.

Sculpt & Articulation & Outfit
Out of all of the Bond figures, the new Brosnan figure has one of the finest head sculpts. This is an uncanny resemblance to Pierce. If you look at the hands you can see well-defined veins and creases in the skin. Nice touch.

The articulation features head, neck, ball-jointed shoulders, chest, cut biceps, double-jointed elbows, and wrists. Other articulation includes a twistable waist, hips, thighs, and knees and ankles. The loose fitting suit allows for a full range of movement.

The clothing is the outfit James Bond wore at the end of the film on the final assault on the Janus hideout in the film. Bond is wearing a green camo vest with multiple pockets with combat pants and shirt.

Accessories
The 12" figure comes with camo vest, watch, AK-74 rifle, Walther PPK, Timer Mine, and figure stand.

Overall
This is a must have for any fan of James Bond. A fantastic sculpt with great outfit and accessories. You can't ask for much more.

Thunderball—Sean Connery as James Bond
In the film Thunderball, James Bond must save the world from a nuclear threat from SPECTRE. The confrontation with Emilio Largo leads to a battle under the ocean floor where 007 puts on diving gear and flippers.

Sculpt & Articulation & Outfit
This is the third Sean Connery sculpt from Sideshow. The head was designed for you to attach the breathing regulator to his mouth. The head sculpt is a very impressive likeness to Connery.

The articulation features head, neck, ball-jointed shoulders, chest, cut biceps, double-jointed elbows, and wrists. Other articulation includes a twistable waist, hips, thighs, and knees and ankles. When attached to the base, the figure is positioned in a swimming pose. He's dressed in a red leather wet suit and white cloth shorts.

Accessories
Bond comes with an Aquatic Propulsion Dive Rig, Dive Mask, Dive Knife, Fins, and Spear Gun.

Overall
There was nobody cooler as James Bond then Sean Connery. The highlight of the figure is the accessories that are included. The aquatic propulsion with the breathing regulator is a well designed. With the amount of accessories included and the fact that it is Sean Connery, any film fan would love this figure.

GoldenEye—Famke Janssen as Xenia Onatopp
Years before she would battle Magneto as X-Man Jean Grey, Famke Janssen starred as Xenia in the film GoldenEye. The character of Xenia is an assassin who uses her sex appeal to get what she wants.

Sculpt & Articulation & Outfit
With the figure's hands covered by gloves the only unique sculpting on the figure is the head, which has a somewhat similarity to Famke. I don't find the face sculpt as strong as the Connery or Brosnan. She is not feminine enough. Too rugged looking.

The articulation features head, neck, ball-jointed shoulders, chest, cut biceps, double-jointed elbows, and wrists. Other articulation includes a twistable waist, hips, thighs, and knees and ankles on the female body form.

Xenias outfit is a nice representation of the see through shirt worn in the film. I find the parachute pants however to be a bit baggy. Makes her butt look huge.

Accessories
Xenia’s accessories are pretty limitied with just a AK-74 rifle and clip.

Overall I am glad to see a secondary character released for a film and not just the main characters. Any James Bond fan would love to own this figure, but anybody who is not a fan of the films will most likely pass.

Hellboy—Abe Sapien
He may not be from the James Bond films, but Abe Sapien is a member of the Bureau for Paranormal Research and Defense from the film Hellboy. Abe uses his skills and psychic abilities to track and battle paranormal and demonic activities with the help of Hellboy.

Sculpt & Articulation & Outfit
Non-realistic characters sculpts are always better than face sculpts based on real people. This is a fantastic representation of Abe. The figure is packaged with interchangeable heads with a superb paint scheme of his turquoise-blue skin, amphibious eyes, gills, finned calves, and webbed hands.

The articulation features head, neck, ball-jointed shoulders, chest, cut biceps, double-jointed elbows, and wrists. Other articulation includes a twistable waist, hips, thighs, and knees and ankles.

The 12 inch Abe Sapien figure is fully outfitted in Abe's trademark wet suit and utility belt with the Bureau for Paranormal Research and Defense logo embedded in to the suit and on his belt buckle.

Accessories
Two different heads; one for when Abe is underwater and the other for when Abe is out of the water with his breathing apparatus.

Overall
This is probably the best of the 12 inch figures reviewed here. The design and sculpt is wonderful. The only disappointment is the height of the neck which is too long. This is needed, however for the interchangeable heads, which makes it easy to overlook.
