Jakks Pacific Fly Wheels XPV
by Lando da Pimp

Jakks Pacific XPV is an awesome light weight RC vehicle that hovers over grass, concrete, but not snow. I had hoped to have video of this sweet car, but we have had a new layer of snow each day thats just not melting. I should have taken video before the snow came. Look for it in a future video podcast.
The XPV body is constructed of styrofoam in order to survive the beatings this thing takes. The wings and propellars are made of plastic to help with the flight. When the vehicle gathers enough speed (20 mph) the XPV goes airborne. Winds kept mine from going more than a few feet but Jakks claims this thing can fly up stories high. The toughest part is landing. The bottom of the car has two landing wheels. Most of the time however I crashed landed.
The biggest con is that the battery pack required to run the vehicle is not included jacking the price for the XPV to about a $100. That sounds a lot, but for the durability of the car and the fact that it flies is well worth it. The battery pack lasts a good 20 minutes and charges in about an hour.
Overall
The XPV is a lot of fun to fly and even attempting to crash land. It does take some patience and practice. I found that you don't want to gun it but gradually speed up. You also need a large flat surface. Once you get it up in the air its a lot fun.
