Napoleon Dynamite: The Animated Series

Fox released the first official teaser for Napoleon Dynamite: The Animated Series, and you have to wonder why? How awful does this look? I loved the film, but I don’t want a sequel to the film. I give it two episodes before Fox pulls the plug. Gosh!

Essential Seven Firefly Moments

One of the greatest television shows of all time is Joss Whedon’s Firefly. When the show was on TV it couldn’t  find a large enough audience. Fox then cancelled the show. The series DVD brought in new fans who never watched the show when it was on. I’m one of those “new fans.” My first Firefly experience was watching Serenity in theaters on recommendation from a friend. I instantly bought the Firefly DVD and watched every episode. With a viewing of the series again, I decided to choose the Essential Seven Firefly Moments:

The Sarah Connor Chronicles is Terminated

TV Squad is reporting that the The Sarah Connor Chronicles is Terminated:

How many times have we Internet bloggos reported the cancellation of Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles?

It seems like the series was killed and resurrected a dozen times during its second season. At this point, it’s hard to believe Entertainment Weekly‘s Michael Ausiello who is telling us that the show is dead and will not rise again no matter how much its fans kick and scream. But it looks like Fox has officially canceled TSCC.

If this news is true, at least we can say that TSCC went out with some major cajones, delivering a twist ending that surprised and shocked the hell out of even the most die hard fans.

Still, I’m sad to see it go. The show hooked me during its short first-season run, but its more challenging and rewarding second season turned me into a full-blown Terminator fan boy. It’s a shame that millions of viewers never saw what turned out to be a very compelling and sometimes heartbreaking sci-fi series with a surprising amount of ambition and depth — and kick ass robot-on-robot brawls.

Star Trek, The Next Generation on Family Guy

On Sunday the cast of Star Trek: The Next Generation reunites on the episode of Family Guy.

In the episode titled “Not All Dogs Go to Heaven,” the “Next Gen” crew (Patrick Stewart, Levar Burton, Gates McFadden, Michael Dorn, Wil Wheaton, Denise Crosby, Marina Sirtis, Brent Spiner and Jonathan Frakes) will provide guest voices as the Griffin family heads to the annual Quahog “Trek” convention.

Stewie blows a fuse when he doesn’t get a chance to ask his favorite ‘Star Trek: The Next Generation’ cast members any questions,” reads the logline. “He devises a plan, builds a transporter and beams the entire cast to his bedroom so they can spend a fun-filled day together in Quahog.

I can’t wait for this. I love Star Trek The Next Generation. Any type of reunion, I welcome. This reminds me of the episode of Futurama when the cast of Star Trek: The Original Series reunited for a special episode.
