2016 Toy Fair Report – NECA

NECA blew us away with new and exciting figures from Aliens, Rocky, Hateful 8, Predator, Gremlins, Pacific Rim and more.

Ash is back in the new show Ash vs Evil Dead. I love all the dioramas that the artists at NECA put together to help “make the sale” at Toy Fair each year. They always expertly capture the scene from the movies, but showcase the figures expertly. These figures will in stores in March!

Stop motion Pacific Rim, directed by 7 year old

My seven year old son and I love watching Pacific Rim. He wanted some of the NECA action figures for Christmas so he could make a stop-motion animation. So I obliged and he got Gypsy Danger (Hong Kong battle) and Knifehead.

I downloaded the Lego Movie Maker app for iPhone, and my son took off from there. The beginning portion of this animation is all his. He used the onion skin feature to make sure the figures moved appropriately came up with the whole story line, and added the dialogue and original sound effects. I took the finished product and shot the ending, added music and called it a day.

Also, my son’s favorite toys are Wicked Cool Toys’ Crashlings. So they made an appearance as well.

Stay tuned for more, we’re hitting Toy Fair next weekend! Subscribe to us on Twitter @MillionairePb, Instagram @ageowns and our Facebook group page.

Toy Fair 2014 – NECA

We love the quality and accuracy of likeness that NECA consistently puts out year after year. And surprisingly, I was really excited about a larger percentage of the things they have to offer (I never really go into Harry Potter or Nightmare on Elm Street figures) This year there was an overwhelming number of figures where I thought I gotta get that.. And, above, is some of the only Portal property I saw anywhere at Toy Fair. Anyway, check out some really cool figures below including Alien, the new Planet of the Apes, Pacific Rim, and more.
