Sideshow Toys
14" Chucky Figure
by Lando Da Pimp

There is never a better time of year to watch a horror movie then around Halloween. However, over the last 10 years I have been unable to enjoy any of the new horror movie villian these days. To me, horror movie villians instantly makes me think of the greats. Freddy Krueger, Jason Vorhees, and Michael Myers are my top three. The fourth is easily Chucky, the evil posessed Good Guy doll from the film series; Child's Play.

Toys and Horror films is an easy fit. McFarlane started the trend with there great movie themed propertys. However, I have yet to find a great version of Chucky, until now. Fans of Chucky will be pleased to find that Sideshow brought about the most realistic figure ever produced.

Chucky stands 14" tall, and has amazing sculpted details. His face was given a very realistic looking evil glare. At the same time he is also smileing showing his evil intentions. The eyes is where this toy shines. Opting away of the expected painted on eyes, Sideshow, used realistic doll eyes.

The body has 9 points of articulation made up of ball jointed shoulders, hips, and head points with wrist joints that swivel. Both hands have four fingers stuck together with a seperated thumb. His right hand is opened up allowing him to hold a knife. Chuckys clothes are made up of Good Guy Shoes, socks, and blue jean overalls all fit look of from the first film. The details are great with the cowboy and workman details.

My biggest complaint is the lack of accessories. Chucky comes with none! The only inclusion, if you count it is Sideshow display stand. To look more menacing I placed a small paring kitchen knife into his right hand.

Overall
This is a fantastic addition for any horror fan's toy collection. I found it also makes a great Halloween decoration to sit next to your pumpkin. I wish that if had come packaged in the original Good Guy packaging to increase it's realistic movie prop feel. The only other problem I had was with the hair. I love that Sideshow didn't paint it on, however the hair wants to stick up a lot. That is a small problem compared to the overall greatness of this Chucky figure.
